The Wheel of Fortune and Justice
Change and accountability: the Wheel of Fortune's turning cycle and Justice's honest weighing, read from their pictures, across their range and against the cards they are confused with.
In this lesson you will
- Recognize the Wheel of Fortune and Justice from their key symbols.
- Read each card across its range, upright and reversed, in love, work, self and money.
- Tell the Wheel from the Ten of Pentacles and Justice from the Two of Swords.
A friendship that once filled your weekends has drifted, and you did not choose it. At the same time, a small voice asks whether you were always fair to that friend. One question is about change you cannot control; the other is about your own part.
What turns and what is weighed
Wheel of Fortune (X) is change itself: cycles, turning points, the ups and downs no one fully controls. Justice (XI) is the other half of the picture: cause and effect, honesty, and taking responsibility for what is yours.
Side by side in the middle of the inner row, they teach a useful balance. Some things in a situation are the turning wheel, and fighting them wastes your strength. Other things are your choices and their consequences, and those deserve an honest look.
When one of them appears, ask which kind of thing you are looking at: a turn of the wheel to move with, or a matter of fairness to set right.
