Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Keep your credentials secure and provide accurate information.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and personally. Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, abuse, impersonate another person, or use our content to train another AI system.
Changes and availability
We may change or discontinue features, or update these terms, when necessary. We will provide notice of material changes where appropriate. The service is provided as available.
Privacy Policy
This notice explains what Veil Soul currently stores and why. We do not sell personal information and we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, authentication provider, and a password hash when you use email sign-in.
- Reading details: your question, selected spread/cards, generated interpretation, and saved reading timestamps.
- Operational data: security and rate-limit signals such as IP address and request metadata.
- Preferences and aggregate product signals: language, theme, timezone, onboarding choices, and allowlisted daily counters such as whether a search returned results. Product counters do not contain your query, user or device identifiers, email, token, or IP address.
How we use it
- Provide readings, account access, saved-reading history, and the card and editorial catalogue.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, enforce limits, and diagnose operational failures.
- Send transactional account messages such as verification and password-reset email.
- We use first-party aggregate counters to improve core journeys and content readiness. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Service providers
We may process data with infrastructure, authentication, email, and AI providers needed to operate a requested feature. Providers receive only the data needed for that purpose; we do not sell it.
Retention and deletion
Reading, journal, and account records remain while your account is active. Items removed from Reading history or Journal may remain hidden for recovery or retention and are identified in your export. Deleting your account permanently erases this private content and profile data; non-identifying operational records may remain for security and reliability.
Your choices
From Account settings you can download a machine-readable copy of your data or permanently delete your account after confirming your identity. You may contact us about correction or any retained operational record; we will verify the request and explain why retention is required.
