How the cards speak about work and money
Read any card in a work or money question: the four suits at work, the card page's work reading, why a warm card is not a promise, and how to read the people cards.
In this lesson you will
- Name what each suit brings to a work or money question.
- Start from a card's work and money reading on its card page, then fit it to the picture and the position.
- Read a warm card as something to bring into the room, and a people card as a way of acting, never as another person's verdict.
Your annual review is next week, and in your evening draw you turn over the Six of Wands. For a moment you read it as the promotion is mine. Then you wonder what the card is actually saying.
The four suits at work
You do not need special work cards. Each suit already has its own territory at work and with money, and every card on VeilSoul has a work and money reading on its card page.
| Suit | At work | With money |
|---|---|---|
| Wands | Drive, ambition, new projects, taking the lead | The energy you put into earning; ventures |
| Cups | How the work feels, the people you work with, satisfaction | What money means to you; giving and sharing |
| Swords | Decisions, words, pressure, disagreements | Hard calls, worries, negotiations |
| Pentacles | Skill, steady effort, the body of your work | Earning, saving, spending and security |
Start from the card page's work and money reading, which the at-a-glance lines in these lessons sum up in one line. Then look at the picture, and then fit both to the position. The card page lists what a card can look like at work; your question and the position choose which of those you read.
