Three weeks after a breakup, one question comes back every night: Does he still think about me? It is one of the most common questions in tarot, in English and in Japanese, and it deserves a better answer than either a guess or a refusal.
What a reading can say about another person
Wanting to know what someone feels shows how much they matter to you. Still, a card cannot see into someone else's mind, and it cannot make their choices for them. What it can show is everything on your side of the relationship: what you feel, what you hope for, how the relationship feels to you, and what you can say or do.
- It cannot tell you what they think, feel or will decide.
- It cannot tell you when they will call, or whether they will come back.
- It can show your own feelings, hopes and fears about them.
- It can show the relationship as you are living it, and what you could do next.
So the work is not to refuse love questions but to turn them. Does he still think about me? becomes What do I still feel, and what do I want to do with it? The feeling behind the question stays; only its direction changes.
